Guided tour to discover the local culinary tradition
Guided tour of Langhirano, the capital of Parma Ham. A lovely piece of rural architecture dating back to 1928, historically used for cattle trading, in an area strongly characterised by the processing and aging of pork.
Today, the Museum of Prosciutto and Parmesan cured meats is located here. The tour of the museum is organised in 8 sections, the first one starts from the territory with a description of Parma agriculture and then moves on to the section dedicated to pig breeds, their diffusion in the various continents and the varieties used for the production of Parma Ham.
To conclude the tour, we will have a tasting at the Museum of Prosciutto and a visit to the shop of excellent local products.
