The cuisine of Ferrara
Recalling the sumptuous banquets of the Este dynasty, the pastimes and intrigues of the court, this taste experience offers samples of local products such as Coppia ferrarese I.G.P., an ‘X’ shape of bread with four twisted arms (the typical product that can never be missing from every Ferrara table); Pampapato di Ferrara, a cake that was traditionally made on 8 December and eaten at Christmas time consisting of a mixture of spices, candied fruit and dried fruit; Salama da sugo, a sausage consisting of pork, spices and is often accompanied by mashed potatoes to dilute its strong flavour.
